Travertine, metal, glass. From matter to materials, from materials to form. The form, the point of arrival of the design refining process materialized in the patient manual and machines work. Three elements to tell different gradations of visual and tactile values. Different weights, different reflections and opacity, different reactions to light and shade, heat and cold. The look goes through the glass, is rejected by the black iron and penetrates a few millimeters of the travertine cavities, the millennial work of nature re-emerges on the cutting surface made by human. The alchemy and the agreement of the three materials and their forms in apparent contrast, mix the meanings, deceive the relationship between real weight and visual weight, alter the correspondence between load and support, between weight and lightness.
