The landscape has a clear distension, a horizontal character that is amplified by the light that invades this infinite opening. The sky, which varies in its characteristics depending on the seasonality of the rains, is a significant presence characterized by the clouds accumulating in layers on higher heights and are carved by chink and fractures that are organized in symbolic forms by filtering the sun’s rays. Sometimes, as in a novel by Joseph Conrad, the sky assumes the shape of a compact veil that is devoid of texture and the light that it returns, also influenced by the humidity of the soil, assumes those characteristics of diaphanous indeterminacy that disgresses the contours and envelops the objects in a desaturated and changing atmosphere.
